This is a beautiful and vibrant book cover.
I loved that these characters were related and entwined, yet living their own lives and dealing with their own issues. They were all unique and had their own stories. I liked how the author managed to make me as the reader feel connected to each of them individually.
I think this was a deep and emotional Family Drama with Romance and Heartache and several other things weaved in.

The idea for An Ode for Orchids came from his appreciation of the enduring strength and tenacity of all of the women in his life: his hardworking mother, loving grandmother, strong sisters (related and non-related), no-nonsense aunties, and last but definitely not least, his beautiful wife.
