We have ourselves a main character who experienced so much.

Well written. I felt I knew every character. I cried with them. Applauded their bravery. Couldn’t imagine living through a war much less all of the things Alice Neel lived through.

Riveting book, from the start it was very engaging and real. It was an reimagining of her life that brought history to life.
